Highland Lakes Master Gardeners 2017 Scholarship Program The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association (HLMGA) provides volunteer services to the local community which focuses on educating the public in advanced horticultural ideas and practices. In addition to the various educational projects in which the Membership participates, the Association offers scholarships to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a horticultural or agricultural degree programs or the graduating seniors from area High Schools who plan to pursue an undergraduate degree/technical certification in the horticultural or agriculture sciences. The HLMGA Scholarship(s) are awarded each year there is a qualified applicant(s) based on the following: Must have graduated high school with a primary residency in the Burnet/Marble Falls school district. Currently attending or accepted to an accredited University, Technical School or Institution which offers horticultural or agricultural related degree/certification programs. Formally declared Horticultural, Agriculture or related fields as the "Course of Study" (see list on MG website - see below). Academic achievement, activities and leadership in both school and community. US citizenship Completion of the HLMGA application process. Each scholarship is awarded at $2,500. The number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the availability of qualified applicants.
